Casual Officeperson with bookkeeping experience required in SEVENTEEN MILE ROCKS, Queensland

We are seeking an experienced officeperson with bookkeeping skills to work approximately 15 hours per week on a casual basis. Hours are flexible and can be worked anytime between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. This role is available for an immediate start.
The business is an importer and wholesaler of garden products, homewares and pet products. You'll be reporting to the business owner who travels regularly for sales and buying trips therefore experience working autonomously is important.
Primary duties will include:
- Entering accounts payable into MYOB
- Calculating staff wages and superannuation payments and remitting payments via Internet Banking
- Reconiling bank statements
- Preparing and lodging BAS returns
- Preparing basic financial reports
- Liaising with external accountant regarding annual tax return
There may also be times where you will be required to:
- Prepare and issue customer invoices
- Respond to calls and emails from customers regarding product details, stock levels, breakages/credit notes
- Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages
- Prepare daily banking and deposit at branch
- Call customers to follow up overdue accounts
The following requirements are essential to perform well in this role:
- at least 2 years experience as a basic to mid level bookkeeper with experience using MYOB Premier
- prior experience in an administrative position
- a postive, can-do attitude with an ability to work automonously
- sound computing skills with experience using Microsft Outlook, Word and Excel
At present the role is for 15 hours a week however flexibility to work additional hours is beneficial as up to 30 hours of work per week may be required in the lead up to Christmas.
